Seattle Tacoma Umpires

The recent merger of the Seattle ASA and Tacoma ASA Associations to form Seattle Tacoma ASA included the melding of the two umpire associations.

In 2008 the King County Umpires association affiliated with Seattle Tacoma ASA returning the leagues from the cities of Kent and Auburn to the ASA fold.

2008 also witnessed a resurgence of ASA programs in Pierce County at local Fort Lewis Army and McChord Air Force facilities, coupled with a growing youth program in the area.

Each umpire group will maintain their own identities, in  some cases with shared administrative services being provided by the Seattle association.

You put all this together and you can see that these are the first steps in building a resurging ASA program on the already solid base in the Seattle Tacoma.  The new areas will bring with them a renewed energy to expand on local adult tournament activities.
